We’re So glad you reached out.
First steps are big steps, and we are honored that you’re considering us to walk alongside you through this part of your life. Whatever brings you here today, whether there is a big catalyst pushing you to get help now, or if you’ve been curious about therapy for a while, our hope it to get you connected to a therapist that can offer some immediate support and the tools to help you get where you want to go - even if you don’t even know what that looks like yet.

As you scroll down this page, you will see photos and a brief bit of info about each therapist. You can click on their photo to read their extended bio. Our goal is that our bios will do an excellent job at accurately conveying our vibe. The most important factor to success with therapy is the quality of the relationship with your therapist. Does this feel like a person you can trust to be completely open and honest with? Do you trust that this person can help you? It may sound unscientific, but we really recommend you go off vibes.

As a baseline, our entire practice is aligned with our values of social justice, competent and affirming care to marginalized identities, holistic/integrative/somatic mental health care, and a trauma-focused approach.
Each therapist is trained in different modalities, and those are listed on their profiles. In our practice, we offer EMDR, IFS, IFIO, EFT, ACT, DBT, Narrative therapies, Expressive therapies, and Somatic Experiencing. We also strongly believe in the power of additional supports such as Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Movement, Nature, Ritual, Community, Purpose, and Spirituality.

Some of our therapists are in network with the following insurance companies: Aetna, Ambetter, BCBS, Medicare, UHC/UBH. Each therapist has information about their insurance network status on their profile.

Once you’ve selected a therapist you’d like to work with, there are a few options for reaching out - please choose whichever is most comfortable to you.
There are links to request an appointment on each therapist’s profile page and in our site header. If you’d prefer to speak with the therapist first, there are links to call or email them at the bottom of their profile page.

Most of our therapists see clients both in person (at our office in Tucker, right off of 285 at Northlake) and virtually.
Because of the depth of work we do, our practice does have a preference for in person work when possible. In some cases, virtual therapy is not an appropriate modality. If that is the case, your therapist will talk to you about in person options.

It’s definitely normal to feel a little nervous - whether this is your first time in therapy, or just your first time working with us. We are happy to dispel some of the unknown.
After you connect with a therapist, you’ll get an email giving you access to our online client portal, where you’ll be able to review our intake paperwork - to learn about our practice policies and to provide us with some starting information about you. In this client portal, you can manage your appointments from now on.
In the first session, your therapist will review information about therapy and about our practice, and guide a conversation about the information you provided and asking additional questions to get to know you and determine how we might best help you. This is a new relationship - please know that there is no pressure to trust us immediately or even to tell us everything in a first session. We will be getting to know you over time, just like in any relationship.
Towards the end of this session, or maybe into the second session, your therapist will give you some general impressions and ideas they have about how you can work together to reach your goals, and will develop a plan for that work with you. This is all part of the getting to know each other process.
Throughout the first few sessions, we are assessing whether we are the best therapist to help meet your goals and how we might do that, and you are also assessing how the therapeutic relationship feels to you. It is perfectly fine to “try out” more than one therapist until you find one that feels right to you.
