"An integral part of healing is letting go, but there is no letting go until there's letting in." - Frank Ostaseski
Welcome - I’m Julie Lane, a Licensed Professional Counselor.
With over 12 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals navigating a wide range of life challenges. I frequently work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, grief, complex medical issues (including cancer, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and POTS), as well as those facing end-of-life concerns.
A central part of our work often involves exploring existential questions—like meaning, purpose, and identity—which tend to surface after significant life changes or losses. Through this process, many people find themselves strengthening self-care practices, improving self-talk and self-esteem, and setting healthier boundaries in relationships, work, and other areas of life.
I often incorporate mindfulness and holistic approaches to support deeper emotional healing. Together, we’ll also reflect on your overall life satisfaction and explore ways to live more intentionally—enhancing your experiences in relationships, health and wellness, and your daily life at home and work.
Depending on your needs, we may also explore techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and ERP(Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy). I see therapy as a collaborative space where you are in charge. If I ever offer a technique that doesn’t feel right for you, please let me know—this is your journey, and I trust your instincts.
I’m committed to providing a supportive, affirming space for individuals of all races, sexual orientations, gender identities, and relationship structures. My practice is BIPOC- and LGBTQIA+-inclusive and grounded in care that is respectful, culturally aware, and nonjudgmental.
“Turning toward our suffering may plunge us into the very sadness, fear, and pain that we usually try so hard to avoid. But if we are willing to brave the darkness by welcoming everything and pushing away nothing, the energy that had been consumed by our resistance to life’s unwelcome events will now be available to contribute to healing, building resilience, and acting with love. An integral part of healing is letting go, but there is no letting go until there’s letting in.” - Frank Ostaseski, The Five Invitations
