I read a great article this morning from mindful.org. This article's advice to adapt to change is definitely a good prescription, but how exactly do we do that? I'm reminded of one of my favorite MAD TV sketches in which a therapist simply tells his client to "STOP IT!" Sometimes knowing what to do is the really easy part, but the knowing HOW to do it can be mind-boggling.
Heart-rate variability (HRV) is actually a great measure of our body's ability to adapt - and biofeedback is one way that we can measure and improve it! Align Wellness Solutions is offering a meditation package that includes technologies like Audio-Visual Entrainment and HRV Biofeedback to help us achieve a meditative and coherent state. In this space, we are more adaptable and insightful. So cool that technology can help us with the HOW of mindfulness!
Align Wellness Solutions is offering a package of six sessions incorporating Audio-Visual Entrainment, Heart-Rate Variability Biofeedback, and Guided Meditations to help train your brain to meditate using technology, and then to support your efforts in learning to get yourself into more adaptive, coherent states on your own. For December only, get EIGHT sessions for the same cost of $500.
Apologies for the rocky audio, and for the hilarious still that this video sometimes chooses to freeze on. I'll figure out how to make these better as I incorporate more videos on my site!
Hello and welcome to the new and improved Be Well ATL! I have decided to combine my formerly separate blog and podcast into a new multimedia blog! Now you can get all of your Align Wellness Solutions and Be Well ATL content in one place. You can expect some written blogs, some podcast features, and also some new video content!
Our podcast content will continue to feature Atlanta-based wellness experts as guests. We define a wellness expert as anyone who has mastered the art of "be"ing well, and has a specific set of knowledge and expertise to share with us, whether that be in the realms of physical health, mental health, spirituality, creative expression, community building, work-life balance, etc. We hope that fans of our guests who dig their particular brand/style/method of wellness will listen to their podcast episode, and then check out other episodes, thereby being exposed to new and potentially amazing-for-them brands/styles/methods of wellness. Huge win for listeners: more wellness! Huge win for guests: your content/talents/services/gifts are shared with new people who are already intrigued by some aspect of wellness, so therefore more likely to be picking up what you're putting down! Huge win for Atlanta as a whole: everybody "be"ing well!
Be Well ATL comes with its own mission, vision, and values.
To expand and boost the wellness community in Atlanta by cross-pollinating the audiences of a variety of Atlanta personalities who embody living well, especially those in the fields of wellness: alternative/holistic medicine, fitness, nutrition, mental health, yoga/meditation, spirituality, creative expression, and community building.
That Atlanta would be the most holistically healthy city in the nation – physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually, environmentally, creatively, etc. – fueled by a community of wellness professionals that encourage and support one another.
Badassery. We value being real, and developing authentic relationships between real people. We value people showing up and bringing their full, messy, vulnerable selves to share their experiences with others for our mutual benefit. Bring your whole badass self to the podcast. Be you, all the way, out loud.
Fun. Unbridled joy. Digging it. Nerding out. Way too loud laughing. More of that shit, please.
Wholeness. We value holistic wellness for all people, in a way that adds value to people’s lives in manageable, incremental ways. We’re not into self-improvement that comes from a place of competition, fear, or unworthiness.
All of our previous podcast content has been rolled over and woven in to our written blog posts. If you want to check out some of the stuff we've done before, here ya go!
